The 'cycling' braid of the John Muir Way is signed along this track near Boards Farm. This is one of the better bits, with much of the rest being rockier and in places steep. Best to avoid on anything less than a mountain bike!

Back on NCN7 Location: near Gartness (Scotland, United Kingdom) It was just over two years ago in June 2009, when I last cycled along this stretch of NCN7 albeit that I was going the other way, en route from Balloch to Pitlochry.

There are not many bikes in Callander. This cycle parking (indicated on Open Street Maps) offers centrally located Sheffield type stands with a reminder to lock the bikes.

National Cycle Network route 7 near Loch Lubnaig and Ben Ledi, between Strathyre and Callander. The route is relatively flat and good and does not require a mountain bike (can be done with 35 mm tyres). See also #18177.
